Our client is looking for a non-client facing entry level Paraplanner to join their centralised team at their Head Office in the UK.
The Paraplanner will be responsible for:
Reviewing Private Client Fact-finds/Client Meeting Notes against defined Compliance guidelines to make sure that ALL aspects of the client financial needs are clearly documented
Using research tools to ensure independent/holistic advice is provided to the client in line as requested by the Private Client Adviser
Liaise with consultants and third parties for additional information to support the recommendations put forward with the ability to challenge/agree requirements to enable the paraplanning activities to be performed in a timely and quality manner
To prepare draft suitability reports within an agreed timescale for the client based on the information received/researched, for final approval by the Adviser, using technical knowledge and experience plus compliance approved templates/standard paragraphs (where they exist) and soft facts including justification for advice Candidate Requirements
Pension and DB Transfer knowledge essential. Practical knowledge of financial planning, pensions, investments, wealth, management, life assurance, tax matters and corporate financial advice
Previous Financial Services experience is essential preferably obtained in a life and pensions environment.
Previous Paraplanning experience is essential (minimum of 1 year).
Full Certificate in Financial Planning or equivalent is essential.
Previous experience in working within a sales-oriented team with interest in researching and analysing information is essential.
Attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply is key
Excellent PC knowledge and ability to operate database systems.
Working towards FP Diploma is essential. Interview Process
