Type of Position: 1st Level Technical Support
Pay: £19-24k

1st Level Technical Support

Our client is looking for an a Technical Support person to join their team and work on a busy service desk.  You will be dealing with clients both on the phone and in writing , requiring good customer services skills as well as technical knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with extensive calls from clients regarding technical issues
  • Diagnosing the problem using support tools
  • Escalating to 2nd and 3rd line technical support if need be and providing solutions
  • Communicating with clients about the nature of the problems and timeline for fix
  • Ensuring all work is logged and documented


Essential Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to convey technical information to the lay person
  • Have a good telephone manner
  • To be efficient and focused
  • Problem solving skills
  • Technically minded
  • Understanding of email systems, Windows 7/8/10 and Mac OSX
  • To be able to work to deadlines



  • Ideally you will also have a good understanding of Windows Server OS, have worked with Active Directory, Permission structures, DHCP, DNS, virtualisation, telephony and network hardware.
