Pay: £50k - £65k

Head of Paraplanning - London

Our client is currently looking for an exceptional Head of Paraplanning to take their Paraplanning function to the next level, joining their team based in London, managing wealth for private clients, families and institutions. They provide a highly personal service and offer advice across the full range of Private Client Investment Tax and Retirement Planning.

In this role you will;

• Manage workflow capacity (in-house and outsource) and on weekly teamwork allocation
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure the highest quality of work across the board
• Liaise with SJP’s Business Assurance (BA) team to ensure regulatory requirements are understood and embedded
• Work with BA to review feedback and resolve issues
• Drive improvement of the paraplanning process and contribute to a continuous improvement culture
• Meet Quality of Documentation (QoD) targets and other KPIs
• Contribute to operational processes and quality improvement initiatives
• Facilitate training sessions (e.g. Knowledge Sharing, New Joiner Induction, etc.)
• Liaise with Advisers and communicate case updates and required information
• Liaise with Administration Teams as needed
• Provide guidance to junior members of the team and take a mentoring approach to support Junior Paraplanners
• You will ensure that the team are processing work in a compliant and timely manner and also to an exceptional standard

 

Requirements

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following knowledge;

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
• In depth knowledge of Paraplanning processes
• Understanding of Paraplanning at SJP
• Knowledge of SJP Business Assurance standards

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills;

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrate the following experience;

• Paraplanning ideally within SJP
• Leading and developing a team
• Managing a workflow – delegating workload, monitoring progress, analysing performance
