Type of Position: Junior Systems Developer

Junior Systems Developer - Farnborough - up to £30k

Our client is looking for a Junior Systems Developer for their team based in Farnborough - work from home available. Possibility to earn £23-30k, depending on experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to work as part of the Development Team, within the Business Application function.  The Development Team supply internal bespoke systems that meet the changing business requirements to introduce efficiency and streamline business process.

Specific Activities Include:

  • To plan, develop, test and implement upgrades to existing applications
  • Where necessary, assist in resolving tasks, incidents and environment issues through direct resolution
  • Responsible for development documentation
  • To undertake ad-hoc duties as necessary within the Development Team

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Someone with an interest in modern technology, with the appetite to work with all areas of the company, to introduce enhancements, change and drive efficiency
  • Problem solving skills, the ability to ‘find answers and solutions’, along with excellent communication skills are essential to be successful in this role
  • Experience in maintaining, upgrading and improving applications and processes would be desirable.  An interest, or any experience, in Financial Services would be advantageous, but not a barrier

Programming Experience:

  • C# experience - Essential  
  • Microsoft Visual Studio - Essential
  • .Net - Essential
  • Microsoft SQL - Essential
  • Object Oriented Principles - Essential
  • HTML  - Desired


  • A qualification in Software Engineering or equivalent would be preferable, however experience in a similar role and environment could outweigh the need for qualification
