Operations Assistant

Our client is looking for a new Operations Assistant to join their team in London

Job purpose

• Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer with the production of management information and financial data to aid decision making

• To develop new innovative tools

• To maintain/manage databases and data feeds and analyse output

• To build Excel based models as required by the business

• To support the client teams in use of all automation tools

• To adhere to the ethos, culture, and purpose of London Wall Partners

Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Excel and complex Excel functions

• Developing large VBA macros/functions

• Developing large SQL Queries

• General Coding Experience, preferably object orientated programming including Python

• Strong problem solver • Excellent communication skills

• Proactive approach

• Drive and determination

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales

• Team player and able to work under own initiative

• Planning and organisational skills

• Business and commercial awareness

Specific tasks / responsibilities

• Role is 50% support/maintenance and 50% development

• Work independently and/or with third party IT consultants in designing, building, testing and implementing systems/processes to improve business efficiency

• Develop new tools predominantly in Python but also VBA to enhance the automation workflow

• Engage in commercial meetings with strategic partners and assist in note taking / follow up work

• Act as first line support for the client teams for all internal VBA reporting engines, helping them trouble shoot issues with a fast response time

• Assist in account admin tasks for the investment platform including password resets and trouble shooting

• Assist in the collection, management and analysis of data and information relating to model and client portfolios and client reporting

• Conduct monthly data updates for performance and dividend data

• Be responsible for daily data feed checks

• Capturing actions, specifying the work / solution and driving the project forward to completion
