An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a friendly and supportive financial planning team in Worthing.

This is a genuine technical Paraplanning role, with administration handled separately. You will work closely with Financial Advisers, providing research, technical analysis and high-quality suitability reports across a broad range of financial planning products and solutions.

The role would suit someone with a minimum of 3 years' Paraplanning experience who is confident producing full suitability reports and working across a range of products and providers.

Ideally, you will hold the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, although part-qualified candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Financial Advisers to undertake product and provider research.
  • Identify appropriate and compliant solutions based on individual client circumstances.
  • Prepare recommendation options and draft detailed suitability reports and proposals.
  • Manage a high caseload of approximately 30 reports per month.
  • Provide technical support across a wide range of products, providers and funds.
  • Work on complex cases including pension transfers, retirement planning and Inheritance Tax planning.
  • Research and analyse complex investments, including bonds and trusts.
  • Use financial planning software and technology to analyse data and develop appropriate client solutions.
  • Communicate directly with clients on behalf of Financial Advisers where required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • Follow internal workflows and processes to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Support the Head of Research & Paraplanning with the development and improvement of processes.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing training and self-development.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Maintain required CPD, quality targets and KPIs.


About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Paraplanner.
  • Strong experience producing full suitability reports.
  • Experience working across a broad range of financial planning products and providers.
  • Good knowledge of pensions, investments and retirement planning.
  • Experience with Inheritance Tax planning and complex investment cases.
  • Knowledge of bonds and trusts.
  • Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a high-volume workload.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with Advisers and clients.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to share technical knowledge with colleagues.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is preferred, although significant relevant experience will also be considered.


What’s on Offer:

  • Salary of £42,000 – £47,000 for fully qualified candidates, depending on experience.
  • £30,000 – £35,000 for unqualified candidates, depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office following initial training.
